As a former bank president and restaurant owner, I know Venture Capital Funding for entrepreneurs can be hard to find. I was brought up in the hotel and restaurant business but I joined a bank after college, and spent most of my career in banking.  In 2000, I retired after 20 successful years as President of Royal Bank of Pennsylvania (now Royal Bank America). Under my leadership, the bank specialized in services for independent businesses of $1 million to $30 million in annual sales. A year or so after retiring, I started TABASFUNDING, to provide Venture Capital Funding for entrepreneurs who want to expand or acquire businesses. I am also Executive in Residence in the School of Business Administration at Philadelphia University. I have written articles on independent businesses and on the business of banking, and have testified on behalf of my employer in court many times.

We make Venture Capital Funding available to expand or to acquire businesses. Funding is available in amounts of $100,000 to $750,000 or more. Funding is in the form of flexible loans which do not require any particular amount of collateral coverage. We don’t compete with banks; we take more risk, and are more expensive. Generally, our interest consists of a basic interest rate, and a “success” interest, which is based on the success of the business.  We are generalists, and will consider most types of businesses.   Business location should be within several hours drive of Philadelphia. Principals will need good credit and should expect to guarantee.
